Leave Skeiding Guest Farm and take the gravel road to the Malgas Pont where you’ll be transported across the river with a hand-drawn ferry – truly a unique experience! Once on the other side, stop off for a pizza or drink at The Boat House or The Bush Pub, but be sure to call ahead to check if they’re actually open. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the renowned De Hoop National Park where you can go climb up the dunes and, if in season, you might just catch sight of a whale or three. Stop off for a magnificent lunch at the local restaurant, and be sure to pay a visit to the world-class estuary while you’re there – before returning to the farm via Swellendam.
